LYNPLAN'S COMMITMENT TO RECYCLING
The first step in reducing waste is to use materials
efficiently. Lynplan's commitment to new
technology particularly in efficient computer
cutting of cloth ensures minimum waste, with the
added benefit of lower prices. Then any remaining
fabric is re-cycled as samples.
Foam is the bulkiest waste product from
Re-upholstery. As the largest Re-upholstery
workshop in the country we generate sufficient
quantity of old non-fire-retardant foam to have it
recycled (at the time of writing we believe we are
the only company doing this). Old foam removed
from furniture is recycled into new products such
as carpet underlay. Off-cuts of new foam are
recycled into high quality reconstituted foam.
